The Dunmuir Veterinary Group outgrew their former premises and bought a large but run-down house in Castle Douglas which was being used as an office. The location was very suitable with its proximity to the market.

The house was converted and enlarged to provide a large single storey extension to the rear to provide accessible up to date consulting and treatment rooms with a large welcoming reception area.
