quarry cottages
stone house conversion

This project involved conversion of existing disused quarry buildings into two semi-detached cottages with 3 bedrooms each. The buildings were renovated and extended, keeping original stone walls and openings where appropriate. The insulation, specification and finishes were to modern standards giving a greatly improved energy efficiency. The main living space has a ceiling finished at rafter level allowing glazed double doors, with a large glazed area above, facing the Garden and orientated south west, towards the Solway Firth.
