This B listed property was the formerly the artists studio of Anna Mary Hotchkis, a key figure of the “Greengate Coterie” of artists who lived and worked in Kirkcudbright in early to mid 20thC.
The existing studio was retained largely intact and protected, whilst the rest of the property was refurbished and structural repairs carried out. The property was also extended and reordered to form an up to date dwellinghouse with a direct connection to the garden.
