copper cottage
grade C listed building renovation traditional house extension

The existing cottage is a grade C(s) listed property. As suggested by the name, the cottage was formerly the police station in New Galloway.

The property was comprehensively refurbished and the rear extensions replaced with a kitchen dining room, which opens directly out onto the garden. The new dormer to the rear contains a shower room to serve the two first floor bedrooms. The former cell doors and other significant internal features including the stair were retained.

The new extensions to the rear of the property are clad with a combination of standing seam zinc and smooth painted render to complement the natural slate and painted stone of the existing house
